COMMONLY ASKED QUESTIONS

IT'S ALWAYS FREE TO STAY AND PLAY!

Morning | 9am - 12pm

Afternoon | 1pm - 4pm

Evening | 5pm - 8pm

SO, DO I REALLY JUST "DROP IN"...?

Yes! You really do, just drop in! We allow that first thirty minutes of class for parents to come, see, and experience the program. Then if we have space for your child, you're welcome to leave after that. It's always free, for you, to stay and play or volunteer for the class if you'd like to see all that we do. We will always prefer pre-scheduling a class ahead of time, so that we both know you'll have a space.

HOW ARE YOU DIFFERENT THAN DAY CARE?

We used to get really hung up on the terminology of daycare and

pre-school, but now we've just decided that you can call our program whatever you'd like - just call us! Daycare really just insinuates that it's a full-day program. Quite simply, we're not. We offer three, three-hour

classes thought the day and a snack-time at each class.

WHAT IF MY CHILD NEEDS A NAP DURING CLASS?

We have a safe place set aside for those kids who are really showing

signs of being tired. We have a porta-crib that they can rest in, if they'd like, or maybe they prefer to find a cozy spot and snuggle in, that's great too!

WHAT IF MY CHILD NORMALLY EATS A MEAL DURING CLASS TIME? You're welcome to bring food as long as it does not contain nuts. They're welcome to eat their meal here, or we give a very healthy, hearty snack. It has at least three food groups - like cheese, yogurt, hummus, crackers, etc.

CAN I DROP-OFF LATE OR PICK MY CHILD UP EARLY?

Yes, absolutely! It's still the same price though. If you're dropping off later, just know that there might be a risk we fill up and don't have space for you (especially in the morning class.) An RSVP is encouraged, however it only guarantees you for that first thirty minutes. If you're running late and not here thirty minutes into class, we give up your space as we commonly have parents willing to wait for a spot.

If you decide to pick up early or drop-off later, just know that our classes are structured, so there could be certian things your child might miss out on. We encourage your children to stay for the whole time, so they get the full experience but it's definitely not required. You can always come and go when you need to. Let us know - we love it when you let us know!

WE'RE NEW TO TEAMS, HOW CAN YOU MAKE MY CHILD FEEL MORE COMFORTABLE? Sometimes it makes the children feel more comfortable as the parents feel more comfortable. So, we welcome parents to come in and stay and play and gain their comfortablitiy as their children gain their confidence as well. The more they're here, the more comfortable they get. When it is time for that separation, when the parents are comfortable or the child is comfortable, or when it's simply just time - we help emotionally coach them though it. It's about us giving your children a chance to create a relationship with us. We love to scoop them up, give them all the love they need - coaching them through the process of separation.

Our goal is to really for them to have fun - so the more we have a fun enviornment, the more they'll be engaged. If they're not excited to get into an acitvity, that's ok! We show them all of the different choices. Our environment here at TEAMS is set up for individual play spaces, or "cozy-zones" where kids can withdrawal and it's not going to be a big, intimidating, space of kids. We like to have alternative options for kids to find their comfort zone.

IF MY CHILD IS UNCONSOLABLE OR YOU HAVE ANY PROBLEMS WITH MY CHILD, WHAT WILL HAPPEN? It's really rare when we call a parent. We're more than happy to text parents a simple "hey how's it going?" or a picture, whatever they need - if requested. We do that often. Especially if there's a very emotional and hard drop-off.

The more we work though the emotional and hard, drop-offs with your child, the easier it gets. Sometimes it just takes time to get comfortable, we totally understand that. If we always default to calling the parents, then it really sets us up for "that's the behavior that gets the result" so, we really try not to do that. Quite simply, it's about us, as a program building that trust with your child.

CAN SOMEONE ELSE COME WITH MY CHILD?

Yes, absolutely! Children with friends, neighbors, cousins, etc. Everyone is welcome! Also know, that grandparents, aunts, uncles, and parents are always welcome to stay and play with us for free!
